Hi Everybody
This is the long awaited post that I want to share with you folks =)
4 Topics in total
Mindchamps Graduates | Challenge Camp | Find Your Why & Fly | Shopping…Shopping at GoDaddy (“,)
________________________________________
First off, with regards to the topic on Mindchamps Graduates, my class just graduated ! =)
SG 624 You Kids Rockz!
SG 624 is the class code by the way.
Some of you may know that I have been a trainer aide with Mindchamps since January 2006 and have been sharing many great stuffs.
The people, the training and even the students =)
This is the 5th or 6th class that I get to witness the children grow and learn many powerful techniques delivered at their level.
These classes that i took are called the Sparks of Genius, and it refers to the Primary 1-2 level.
It has been a great exposure interacting with these children, some are as sweet as candies are some are simply playful. And it is good learnings from the trainers to handle these kids =)
And its true that you interact with kids and adults differently.
Coming to the people aspect, simple WOW!
Everybody building Mindchamps, from the receptionist to the principal, Mr David Chiem.
They are awesome!
It’s like a one big family and the energy is really really high!
The trainers that I interact with, namely Stella, Amy, Siew Cheng, Adelene and more…
They are a group of dedicated trainers and yet humble.
My hats off and due respect to all of them =) Cheers!
Big Hugs & Flying Kisses >”<
Some photos from the recent graduation….
Trainer Stella with Ilyas –> Superstar Mindchamps!
Another Superstar Mindchamps! –> Wen Fong With Yours Truly ME =)

Next up…The Challenge Camp!
This camp is organised for the student councillors of my alma mater by the alumni and the current senior councillors.
This is a serious camp where the tone is kept strict and the objective is to put all the secondary 2 student councillors to the ultimate test of their physical abilities and the mental capabilities.
And what the secondary 2 councillors may not realise, it was an even greated test for the organizers!
It was a learning experience for everyone involved in the camp and that is the reason why I always return.
It was a challenge for the few graduates in my batch because I was having my attachment during which this camp was conducted, my batch mate Amritpal has to “book out”, he is in the army doing his national service and those who are in polytechnic having classes!
I went straight to camp after attachment at 4pm and leave only after the last activity of the day and debrief session with the senior councillors. And that was like 4-5AM for 2 consecutive days. I got to report to the hospital by 8AM.
Despite all these “hardships” aka challenges that we have to brave, I learned about FOCUS.
Even I get less then 6 hours of sleep for 2 nights, I gave my 110% when I interact with my patients.
Some of my friends always refer to attachment as having to report for WORK.
For me, I used to think that attachment = work too until recently i thought through and changed
attachment = SAVING AND CHANGING LIVES
And this is really powerful, because I feel great and afreshed whenever I wake up and I have to go to the hospital.
SAVING AND CHANGING LIVES =)
With that, check out the photos that we tool during the challenge camp =)

Yes! That’s me conducting an activity called the Trust Run.

The Interview; Mental Test –> Conducted at 2-3AM

A group going through thick and thin…Eating food that you will not get anywhere.
Before you drift off thinking that we feed that coackroaches and stuff….NO!! WE ARE HUMAN TOO =)
This is not Fear Factor or whatever, those are food that they cook themselves.
By the way if you are inquisitive, Singaporean kids do not usually cook.
And I got to be a taster for a exclusive Chicken Dish. It is really really salty =|
My dear councillors if you are reading this, this is really memorable =) Cheer up! It’s okay!

We the organisers get a treat from the teacher in-charge Mr Soh =)
Pizzas, pepsi and chicken wings from Canadian Pizza!

The final debrief at 1.45AM
________________________________________________________
As promised the photos of Find Your Why & Fly Package I recieved =)
________________________________________________________
Finally, SHOPPING =)
Shopping at GoDaddy!
And if you have read before….I do not usually shopped at malls etc…
I shopped at GoDaddy….For domain names!
I like to share 1 domain name and that is SingaporeWelcomeYou.com =)
This has been at the back of my mind for some time and I finally took action!
Most of the people who know me personally knows that I am a “patriot”.
Haha..Not that I served the army or whatever…
Just that I love Singapore, and I am proud to be a Singaporean.
I like the red and white on the flag =)
And I used to wear Singapore printed tees from Hang Ten etc.
Anyway I can only put them on again next July, it is the tradition that one can’t wear bright coloured clothings especially read when somebody related pass on. In my case, my dad.
Coming back, the reason why I decided to work on this project that I call the SingaporeWelcomeYou Project,
In a way I like to invite people to visit Singapore, and I like to also write a book on places where you ought to go to experience Singapore.
Get what I mean?
I like to fully engage the tourist who visit Singapore.
Yes the tourist attractions and I like you to experience more then that!
There is more to Singapore then Sentosa and Chicken Rice!
Yeah! So that’s my vision for SingaporeWelcomeYou.com =)
Oh and by the way, if you are a Singaporean or you have visited Singapore before, I invite you to contribute your thoughts.
For Singaporeans:
Where should tourist visit in Singapore?
What they should eat?
Where to get cheap and good stuffs?
These are just some teasers, send me your thoughts or drop me an email at jy@chiajiayu.com
For Tourist:
Firstly, Thank You! Thank you for visiting Singapore =)
Share with me the experiences you had during your stay in Singapore =)
I will be at jy@chiajiayu.com and I look forward to hearing from you =)
________________________________________________
Alright what a long post!
I hope you enjoy reading it and send me an email on your thoughts, questions or anything under the sun and I will get back to you =)

Baking In The Sun…Sentosa December 7, 2006
Posted by JY Chia in My Life!, Photos, Updates.add a comment
Hi Everybody
6th December 2006 was a day filled with fun, laughter and sun!
We drove in to Sentosa and on board were my brother, my grandmother, my 2 cousins, xin yang & bing yang, belinda and her sister, gina.
We set off at about 8.30am and reach Palawan Beach, Sentosa at 9am.
This is the first time I am at Sentosa that early!
It was whole load of Beach Fun and Jellyfish.
YES! You read it right…Jellyfish!
Without further a do, let me share with you the awesome pictures =)
<Pictures speaks louder then words>
My brother with 2 cousins posing!
Us =)
Jellyfish, the tentacles are too faint to be captured.
My cousins
Me and grandma
Belinda and Me
I am “buried” in the sand!
___________________________________
We stayed at the beach for close to 7 hours =)
9am till about 5pm! Yes! We were all “roasted”!
Except for grandmother who was under shelter, finding joy looking at the jellyfishes!
Anyway after Sentosa, we headed to Marina South for a sumptious dinner of steamboat with “live” prawns and “crabs”.
Followed by about an hour at the arcade post dinner; playing arcade games; reminising the good old childhood for all except the 2 kids (“,)
Did I mention Sentosa is one of my favourite childhood destination? Yes it is!
If you are a foreigner, welcome to Singapore and I invite you to visit Sentosa. (haha free publicity!)
And if you are a Singaporean, look out for the Sentosa Express rolling out in Jan 2007!
With that, have a good week!

Hello Everybody =)
It has been more then a week since I last post =|
I have got lots of things to update you folks =)
Firstly, “Find Your Why & Fly” CD By John Di Lemme is here (“,)
The book too that I am currently reading.
I have got pictures of all these and I will share it with you in the next post.
And really, Find Your Why & Fly is AWESOME!
You can find out more about it by going to this site FindYourWhy.COM
I have written My Why Card and it is kind of long.
Let me explain briefly what a Why Card is.
It is essentially in my opinion a powerful statement/reasoning behind everything that you do.
It is the tough question of asking yourself WHY WHY WHY
Why do you want to become a millionaire?
Why do you want to improve your life?
So you can start your WHY Card with something like….
My why to become a millionaire is to ………………….
Should I share my why card? Hmm…will let you know soon!
Alright so much about Find Your Why, you can indulge in the mp3 that they recently launched.
You can get to hear the audio immediately and you can save on the shipping charges!
Check it out at FindYourWhy.COM
Next, i have just finished 1 fruitful week of Operating Theatre Attachment =)
Even though it is 1 short posting, it is great exposure and I got to scrub 1 case!
When you scrub you get to stand beside the surgeon and in close proximity with the open cavity of the patient.
Yeah it was bloody at times and it is interesting to see tumours the size of a mini football. It is that huge!
And these cancerous tumour growth are normally asymptomatic = no symptoms or it is masked by our usual headaches, stomachaches.
Let’s all take ownership of our being by going for regular health check and invest in our health!
The following days will be attachment to Home Nursing Foundation and I will keep you posted =)
Coming to the internet marketing arena, I have just completed an eBook in a particular niche! =)
And I am going to launch the site soon, by next week and I will keep you posted on the progress.
Like I say, I am using Internet Marketing Center’s, “The Insider Secrets” that i have posted some time ago.
You can read about “The Insider Secrets” by heading to TheInsiderSecrets.COM
Oh! And I went back to my secondary school to conduct the Challenge Camp for the councillors.
Together with the organising team, teacher and us, the alumni, I felt that this Challenge Camp has achieved its objectives.
Well done team!
I will post some photo over here in the next post.
I guess that’s about it for now, stay tuned for champion pictures and insights!
Till then, have a awesome weekend!

Teleseminar: Stuart & John Di Lemme November 10, 2006
Posted by JY Chia in Internet Resources, My Life!, Self Development & Training, Updates.1 comment so far
Hi Everybody
I was just on a teleseminar hosted by Stuart of www.InternetMarketingSingapore.com with John Di Lemme, an international motivation trainer of www.FindYourWhy.com
It was a great call!
Firstly I am so grateful that I am on afternoon today to be on this call and thank you Stuart for arranging this =)
My first encounter with John, if I recall correctly was a few months ago when I watched The Secret.
And man! Hearing him on this call….Find Your Why!
This is something that I have been advocating for, my close buddies will know it.
I have always been finding the Why, what is the purpose of doing this and that?
And I will always share with my pals this driver too.
Why are you doing this? What is it that you want? Who are you doing it for?
And this reminded me when I was 16 and I got to choose between Junior College and Polytechnic.
It was a frustrating moment, because on one hand, I wanted to be in the mainstream, I wanted to be the top 20% of the cohort and I have got my parents and relatives pushing the idea of entering into College and on the other part I knew I have got interest in both Sports and Wellness and Nursing in polytechnic.
Frustrating.Period.
My grades were acceptable to me, close to straight Bs, an A and a C.
Hey! I worked hard.
So first 3 months, I got into Nanyang JC via Volleyball.
I am okay in volleyball and Volleyball is a strong sport in NYJC.
I am really thankful to Mr Tam and the principal then of course.
And so when the O’level results is out, I thought since I am in for 3 months
why not just go through JC education.
As the syllabus sets in coupled with the high expectations from the team,
I was forced to dig out this inner issue within and surface it again.
I took out a piece of paper, and I drew a sign post that read “My Life”
And I divided the paper into 2 columns.
JC on one side and Polytechnic on the other side and started to scribble the
pros and cons of each.
So this is what I have written:
JC
- Mainstream
- Parents happy
- Status quo
- Easy entry to university
- Broadbased knowledge that I do not enjoy studying; I am only keen on
Biology, specifically on Human Biology which is a minor portion.
- Do not really like chemistry, all the formulas and bonds etc. are driving me nuts
- Passion: 3 out of 10
- Volleyball, yes I love the sport and my team mates has been really supportive and I have got understanding coach and teacher in charges. Expectation is there to meet.
Polytechnic
-> Nursing =)
-> Save lives
-> Have got favourite subjects : Human Bio, Psychology, Sociology
-> Passion: 8-10
-> Parents supportive but like me to consider carefully, dad when he was alive then did not really like the idea of me cleaning people’s butt
-> Relatives various opinions
Yes! It was a really tough year being 17. And I suppose due to the intense stress and this conflicting ideas in my head, I fell sick easily and gosh! I skipped school so many times and first time in my life I got to be send to A&E for acute gastritis where I had severe diarrhoea, I can still remember vividly, continuously!running like a tap!
Really scary.
During the period of time, I had so much in my head and I was like,” What the hell am I doing!?” and “What’s the mess in my life!”
And I hang on till midyears examination. Because I was absent from school for so many donkey days and I wasn’t catching up fast with so much on my head.
It is the first time in my life I go into the examination hall, unprepared and blank!
If I recall correctly, I was doing my best to feed chemistry bonds etc. into my head that faithful evening, and I just burst!
“Why am I doing this!”
“I have no passion in this”
“This isn’t the life that I want!”
And for the very first time, I poured out this filled to the brim agony and stress.
My mum listened.
And I am really glad she is so supportive and understanding.
I looked up on the internet, Nanyang Polytechnic’s Website, and school is starting in about a week’s time.
I do not know how I am going to join that batch = my batch.
But I know I am going to do it! I will do whatever it takes!
My mum went down to NYJC with me, and we spoke to my tutor, Mrs Gerda Huang.
She understand my situation and even wrote a recommendation letter for me.
She wrote about me as a class representative etc.
And I am really touched! Thank you Mrs Gerda Huang.
That is also the reason that I would recommend my juniors to consider NYJC should they be choosing the JC route to give NYJC a shot.
Life is stressful for many in JC and all you can ask for are understanding and caring tutors!
Coming back, I wrote the letter of appeal to Nanyang Polytechnic and went down to the school personally.
The administrative officers were telling me to not have high hopes because there are 200 on the waiting list to enroll into Nursing!WOW!And there are 1000 in the cohort.
I can’t recall what was in my mind then but to make sure that this person who is going to give me a green light to be accepted would land his/her hands on my appeal.
So for the next few days, my heart rate escalated as the date comes close to the starting of the new term in polytechnic.
“Ring….Ring….Ring…..” On Friday morning, I was still asleep when the phone rang.
I jumped out of bed and the caller said,” This is XXX calling from NYP, you have been accepted and when will be a good time for you to come down to collect your enrollment package?”
OH MY GOD!
Am I hearing this?!
“I will come down now!”
______________________________
Boom! Eversince, my health is back and I even put on a fair bit of weight and am sheding it off now.
It was a breakthrough few weeks for me and I am proud to say that I have gained my confidence back and am focusing on my goals. On track!
__________________________________
My friends were shocked and my secondary school teachers were shocked too.
Some even commented,” Why didn’t you take me along?”
_________________________________________
I have found my life back and challenges are always here to make us better. And our ideas and passions change overtime too. What we got to do is to adjust, life is a game and let’s set the rules for ourselves and not others!
______________________________________
At this juncture, I like to thank my tutors at NYJC especially Mrs Gerda Huang, my volleyball team mates, coach and teacher in charge, Mr Tam and the principal Mdm Ho for giving me a place in NYJC and in the process I discovered myself.
I have disappointed you Mr Tam and I am ever grateful for your graciousness, care and concern during my stay.
And of course, my great class in NYJC =) 04S1D =) You guys rocks!
And big thanks to my Parents and relatives!
Dad wherever you may be now, please take care of yourself! I did not give you the due respect when you were alive and you have been supportive towards my endeavours all the way till the end.
What a gift to pass my driving on the same date that you did 23 years ago, 26 April. What a coincidence. Take care. Justice will be made!
___________________________________________
What I have learned in addition from John and Stuart today, is to model successful people, and John really drove a point to me.
We all started out on the day when we were born!
We were labelled and some of the labels are correct and some are wrong.
But to me, what’s the criterion of a correct and wrong label? It is YOU who decides!
And the thing is to break away from the false label.
Let’s take a stake in our lives, not our bosses and not the environment!
And now I have got my birth date staring at me right in the face!
23rd April 1987
What have I done for the past 19 years?
What can I do in the future?
How do I want to lead my life?
What difference do I want to make in peoples’ lives?
________________________________________
My dear friends, this has been a really exhaustive sharing. If you have read thus far, I like to thank you! I really appreciate it.
I hope you learn something from it and have a good weekend ahead!
Tomorrow is my dearest buddy, Belinda’s birthday! 11th November 1988, You got to be 18!
Thank you for being here with me and my buddies and family, thank you so much! And to you, my guest, I appreciate you being apart of my life!
Thanks! Everybody!

You will get to see the snapshots of the photo collage below (“,)
With regards to Lilo and Stitch, the movie, mum persisted on playing because she remembered dad telling her once that this is the first movie that he stayed awake throughout in the theatre =)
Enjoy looking at the photos (“,) Oh..and I added some “extras” of me=)

Singapore Civil Defence Force: Paramedic Experience October 11, 2006
Posted by JY Chia in JY Chia, My Life!, Updates.add a comment
Hi Everybody
Yeah! I finally got the experience of being a paramedic for 8 hours on the recent Saturday, 7th October 2006.
Total number of calls I attended to: 4
I have always admired the paramedics for their quick thinking and how they deal with casualties/patients at the 1st contact.
I have got this opportunity to take on this ambulance attachment because I am a civil defence volunteer =)
Guess what?
I seriously did experienced motion sickness on the first 2 calls, because the back of the ambulance is not as stable as I thought.
And I agree to the paramedic who supervised me that,
“Balancing is an art.”
I guess it is a matter of getting used to it?
I felt alright for the next 2 calls and particularly on the last call when I was busy attending to the patient, I kept talking to the patient and calming him down because of his condition.
I would like to reveal what are the cases that I had witnessed but unfortunately they are to be kep confidential =|
Anyway it was an awesome and memorable experience and I did get good information from the paramedic on this particular career etc.
Due to the fact that I am going to graduate next year from Nursing. I am seriously considering my routes after graduation.
1. University
2. Paramedic
3. A&E Nurse
I am weighing all the factors, its pros and cons….
Will keep you updated =)
Fret not! I am still moving towards my online business efforts and becoming a Millionaire at the age of 23!
Some of you may be asking or becoming confused….
You want a job and you want to be a paramedic/nurse??
Isn’t it contradicting to each other?
Well I am committed to becoming a Millionaire and a paramedic/nursing and I have my point of view and my purpose.
I am always passionate to save lives and at the same time I know that deep down I need to do much more, I would like to have the ability to donate without fear. And I am passionate to share what I know and what I stand for and to educate the people.
And that is why I am heading towards this near future that I will report to the fire station as a paramedic or to the hospital as a nurse with the pure purpose of saving lives and not that it is a job that I have to work for and also with my internet business running bringing in passive incomes and being able to do so much more, to provide my siblings education and to give my mum, grandmother, aunt and loved ones monthly allowance and to donate without worry. And to invest in health! Myself and my loved ones.
Above all, I want to make my dad proud and myself proud!
I can do it!
My dear friends, dream big and head towards your dreams!
Bless You (“,)

JY Has A Baby Face? October 10, 2006
Posted by JY Chia in JY Chia, My Life!, Updates.1 comment so far
Hi Everybody
Before I proceed with today’s topic, I would like to thank you for your encouragement and support during this “trying” time of my life.
(I got to add “..” to the word “trying” because it is a forbidden word)
I am using the swing log experience I learnt during Patterns of Excellence and the “chant” for high beam test which is to,
“Focus — Balance — Keep Moving”
Dear friends, I am going to bounce back to make my dad proud! =)
____________________________________________
Alright with that, let’s move on with today’s topic….
JY Has A Baby Face?
Haha…I thought of doing this post to bring up my own energy and also for the energy of my dear readers, YOU!
As a matter of fact, I do get people commenting that I have a baby face, I guess that’s a blessing in disguise (“,) then I can save on facial products! Haha…
I thought about it before and I agree to a certain extent that yes I do look like me when I am a kid.
My grandma will go saying, “Of course! It’s YOU!”.
Anyway some of us out there are a complete contrast to how they look like when they were a child.
Yup! So is it true that JY has a baby face, you be the judge =)
Haha..That’s Me =)
How about this ?
Alright, I hope that this post bring a little =) to you.
Till the next post, have an awesome! week (“,)
